Layering
We have observed an increasing reliance on a "layering" defense strategy in legal proceedings. In light of this, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify our business model and affirm that our services do not involve any form of layering.
"Layering" in this context refers to the unethical practice of manipulating or falsifying reports to generate additional treatment needs, thereby financially benefiting the service provider through increased revenue from such reports.
At Equilibria Health, when we are engaged to produce a medico-legal report, our work is conducted impartially and exclusively for the court's purposes. We maintain no vested interest in the report's outcome.
Should a client for whom we have prepared a report be subsequently referred back to us for further treatment, such treatment is managed by a separate department, entirely independent of the original report author.
Moreover, any referral of a client back to Equilibria Health is solely at the discretion of the instructing solicitor. Equilibria Health has no influence over subsequent referrals, and it is important to note that a majority of cases in which our reports recommend treatment do not result in referrals back to us.
